We are a full-service Pain management practice of dedicated, experienced physicians and staff who believe in working with our patients to maintain and improve their health. We work together to serve you for all of your pain management needs in all stages of life. Our physicians believe in providing comprehensive pain management services to our patients in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We also believe in educating our patients as we work with them to achieve the best physical state possible.
Our Directing physician is certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties and comes to our practice with years of experience in his area of specialty.

Dr. Roberts grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. After finishing his medical school at Medical College of Virginia, he completed his residency at Strong Memorial Hospital-University of Rochester Medical Center. His fellowship training was done through University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
He became an assistant professor and an assistant director of a Pain Fellowship program at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, Louisiana after fellowship training. He subsequently went on to become the Program Director of the ACGME approved Pain Fellowship program at LSU in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Dr. Roberts decided to come back to the D.C. area for his family and to open a pain management clinic. While he is a board certified Pain Management doctor and Anesthesiologist, he later worked and acquired Hospice and Palliative Care, and Drug and Addiction medicine board certifications as well.
Dr. Roberts and his wife are happily married with three children and a dog.
Kaori was brought up in Japan. She has a B.A. in English and an M.Ed. She taught English at Japanese schools several years, and came to America in 2006.
She started to have more interest in medical field, and got certified in medical billing and coding (CPC) through AAPC in 2011.
She has just obtained a certificate as a nursing assistant in April, 2014.
She volunteered in a church as a teacher for a year, and currently leads the worship team. She enjoys practicing her guitar and bringing up her children.
Karen joined Cornerstone Pain & Restoration in June 2014. She helps our physician and patients at the front desk and back in the exam rooms in the office.
